The Salem Ferry Ride from Boston’s Long Wharf to Salem is between 50 to 60 minutes. You’ll be able to sightsee, museum hop, sampling the specialties of local chefs, and shopping in Salem’s many quaint boutiques and quirky shops upon arriving in Salem!
Upon arriving from Boston, the Salem Ferry drops you off at the Salem Wharf Ferry Terminal on Blaney Street. Taking the ferry to Boston, passengers are dropped off at Boston’s Long Wharf at 66 Long Wharf, Boston, MA 02110.
In Salem, the ferry terminal is within walking distance to downtown shops, attractions, and restaurants. The House of the Seven Gables, Ye Olde Pepper Candy Companie, and The Chocolate Pantry, are very close by, and harbor tours with Essex Heritage and Sunset Sail Salem both depart from the same dock.
The Salem Ferry runs seasonally from spring through the Halloween season. Please check the schedules directly before your visit.
Reservations are not required, but booking ahead is recommended during peak seasons, such as weekends in October.
The Salem Ferry is wheelchair- and stroller-accessible via ramps at both the Salem and Boston docks.
